Artist's Statement

I remember after a court martial in M*A*S*H the presiding officer, after dismissing the bullshit case against Hakeye and B.J. (or was it Trapper?),  told Frank Burns, kind of gratuitously, that if he hadn't been drafted he probably would have been a pastry chef. Seems like kind of a slap in the face to pastry chefs, who I'm sure are skilled professionals, but the remark always stuck with me as a really wounding, understated insult. It's inexplicable that after a decade of indoctrination by M*A*S*H we as a nation would go ahead and elect someone exactly like old Ferret Face to the presidency: a vain, incompetent, sniveling, pompous, hypocritical, bullying little nitwit. We'd be much better off with Henry Blake.
